SCRAPBOOKING DROP IN!  Your Life / Your Story / Your Way

Please join me on the first Monday of every month for photo album making workshops, from 6:30-10:00 pm., Sept. to June.  Workshops are free with a KCL membership or $5.00 without.

Learn how to organize your photos and make beautiful albums.  Have fun, meet new people, share ideas and have uninterrupted time and plenty of workspace. Contact Charlotte at 473-2300 or caburns@telus.net for more info and to reserve seating.  Supplies are always available!

Pilates and Body Rolling

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a system of exercises that engage the total body. Pilates will challenge the deep muscles that support the core, while providing a balanced blend of strength and flexibility training that can improve flexibility, balance and posture.

Pilates focus is on quality of movement rather than quantity, which makes one feel invigorated rather than exhausted after a session. Pilates takes a balanced approach so that no one muscle group is overworked but rather the body works as an efficient, holistic system in sport and daily life.

What is Yamuna Body Rolling?

Yamuna Body Rolling is a revolutionary approach to health and fitness. Using 6-10 inch balls, following specific routines, you literally roll your muscles out like dough. It allows you to work specific muscles in detail, to create suppleness in tight areas and optimize range of motion. Yamuna Body Rolling re-educates muscles and stimulates bone, creating positive, permanent changes in the body. The ball moves on muscles to stretch them, dislodges tension and discomfort, increases blood flow and promotes healing.

Anyone from a couch potato to a fitness enthusiast can benefit from classes on the ball. It's fun and it's a great way to release tight muscles, build core strength, create total freedom of movement and prevent injury.
